Press Release: F&V adds Eight New Staff, Including Health/Safety Officer
Fleis & VandenBrink (F&V) has added eight new staff, including a corporate health and safety officer.
Tom Konecsni, who brings decades of experience, will aid F&V in assisting employees and clients in addressing health and safety issues from the firm’s headquarters in Grand Rapids.
New staff also include: Brian Sinnott, P.E. and senior project manager; Christina Finkler, assistant controller; Jenny Babler, payroll administrator; Jeannica Garmon, accounting assistant; Bob Dolweck, engineering technician Colt Brown, construction technician; and Austin Bublitz, engineer-in-training (EIT).
Brown and Bublitz work with the East Michigan Group, all others work in the Grand Rapids office.

Konecsni will be involved in most aspects of the company’s health and safety planning, training and internal audits for engineering, operations and construction services.
Sinnott joins the Enhancement & Development Group and brings a wealth of experience and leadership in preparing commercial, industrial, institutional and residential site developments. His skillset will be help F&V continue to growth site development clients.
Sinott has more than two decades of civil site engineering experience, including being a project manager for commercial, industrial and residential developments. The former township planning commission chairman earned his master’s degree in management from Aquinas College. He also has an engineering degree from the University of Michigan.
Finkler joins F&V with more than two decades of accounting experience, including the last eight years as a senior accountant and financial analyst for a Grand Rapids non-profit health care system. She has a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University in business administration.
Finkler will assist the accounting team with daily accounting tasks, manage the month-end close process and assist in the preparation and review of the company’s financial reporting. Her wide range of accounting and finance experiences will help us make informed financials decisions that support the strategic initiatives of F&V.
Babler has nearly two decades of payroll and office administration and financial management. She will be responsible for all payroll processes including management of employee data and ensuring accuracy in timesheets and computing wages. Babler has an associate degree in business administration from Ferris State University.
Garmon will handle accounts payable and assist with various initiatives within the Accounting Department. She has an extensive accounting background, which includes owning her own tax preparation business and working a various businesses and nonprofits.
Dolweck joins the Grand Rapids Municipal Group as a CAD Technician. He brings considerable experience in AutoCAD and other drafting platforms. He will lead the CAD efforts on select civil infrastructure projects in the West Michigan area.
Dolweck has more than a decade of engineering experience in both the public and private sector. He received his bachelor’s degree in construction engineering technology from the University of Toledo.
Brown joins the Construction Services Group and works out of the Farmington Hills office. He will be overseeing construction projects and working closely with local agencies in mid- and southeast Michigan.
Brown has a master’s degree in environmental policy and management from American Military University and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Troy University. He also has experience as a heavy construction equipment operator for the U.S. Army and Washtenaw County Road Commission.
Bublitz rejoins F&V at the Midland office after interning while working on his bachelor’s degree in product design engineering at Ferris State University. He also has two years of product engineering experience in Wisconsin.
Bublitz will be working with the East Michigan Group on Civil 3D designs for municipal infrastructure projects, including wastewater collection and water systems.
F&V is an employee-owned multi-disciplined civil engineering and architecture firm and a one-stop shop for infrastructure planning, design and construction. It is headquartered in Grand Rapids but has eight other F&V offices throughout Michigan and Indiana.
