Project Overview

Onekama Township John Langland Park is a Lake Michigan beach access park. The project included improvements to including beach access, shelter renovation, and a new restroom building. The project was completed in stages – allowing use of the south access during the busy summer months while working on the north access then finishing up on the south. The project was partially funded with a DNR grant.

F&V provided design and FVC provided construction management. Improvements included:

  • ADA boardwalk and mobility mat for access to the water’s edge
  • New roofing for existing shelters and new shelters
  • Parking, walkways, and restroom access
  • Retaining walls and pavement resurfacing / striping
  • Dune restoration plantings and signage
