WWTP Administration Building and Garage Improvements

Allendale Charter Township
Allendale, MI

Project Overview

F&V completed a feasibility study in the Spring of 2019 to address current issues and provide a long-term plan for the Allendale WWTP. The feasibility study determined  that the Township’s wastewater treatment facility had outgrown its existing administration building and laboratory. The WWTP was also nearing design capacity due to continued growth within the sewer district. Expansion was recommended.

F&V provided the feasibility study, design and construction phase engineering, and  FVC provided construction management services for a new 7,880 square foot administration building. The new building features modern lab facilities, conference and training rooms, dedicated work areas for current and future staff and collaborative workspaces. Expansion also included construction of a new 8,580 square foot equipment storage building and additional improvements to improve site circulation, safety and additional parking for staff and visitors. Modifications were also made in the existing maintenance building.

The improvements separate operations from the public and provide much-needed space for operations and ensure reliable service for future growth in the sewer district. The project improves access for visitors, school groups and the community and provides better employee safety and equipment security.
